Yes I'm still here. :-) Mar. 1st, 2008 @ 07:26 am
Work is very busy and life is very busy.

Baby Bear: almost 20 months and a busy little bee. keeps me hopping and very happy. There are days he looks like Jim and other days I see me. and yet... he is so beautiful. :-D. Me and a few friends are planning on taking our little ones to Bounce U in Exton. I think he is going to have a blast. I've never been but I hear its great. Can't wait for the weather to get to the point where he doesn't have to be in 20 layers of clothes to go outside. Plus we can get back to our weekly trips to the park. There is a great park in Downingtown that has some great play equipment and a great outdoor space.

Anyway. Going to Nova Schola, missing Mudthaw (cause will be out of town on vacation)

Hope to see some of you there.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Today is my Son’s 1st Birthday. The year has been such a whirlwind. I love discovering something new about him every day. I love that he is so innocent and sweet and not yet spoiled by the harshness of the world. I love the smell of him after a bath and how blue his eyes are. I love the laugh he makes when I’m chasing him. I love the way he walks, crawls, eats, sleeps.

I love my son. Happy Birthday baby bear.

Ok lets see. General catch-up. Nice long weekend. Got a lot of clean up done, went to the handfasting of a friend, spent a great day with [info]beththeevilone (cause if she were a guy… ), Opened up the pool on Sunday and did a mini bbq, Monday went with [info]aliwodehalle to see Pirates (which I think I’m one of the few that liked it… even with the ending the way it was) and had a very nice chat with her, This week my in laws will be here which will be really nice. I think hubby plans on taking them to King tut.
Jim plans on getting the Philly Zoo package thing and I think on Saturday Austin will have his first visit to the zoo. We thought this would be a nice day for grandparents and Austin. Sunday (inlaws will still be here) will be having a garb workshop. (no I did not schedule it on purpose to conflict with the inlaws. Originally the workshop was scheduled and the inlaws were going to be here last week but it got changed to this week. I’m sure Gramma and Grampa won’t mind for a few hours.

Life is good but work is very busy.

Yesterday hung out with many of the household peeps. We went to Jomars. Between all of us... we dished out about 700.00. Then we headed off to Applebee's for some food. We had 10 of us there. It seems we enjoyed breaking into songs like "you spin me right round baby right round" and "Henry the 8th I am I am". Hope we didn't disturb our neighbors toooooo much. LOL

Today is Austin's first Easter. He liked the big plastic eggs and daddy got him a see and say just for his age. He played with that for quite awhile. Now its 10 am and he is exhausted and needs a nap. So he has crashed in my arms.

So now that he is down for the count for at least a good 30 minutes.. its time for chores.

Hope everyone is having a nice Easter.
» Schola.
had a wonderful day today. had to bring baby bear since daddy had to do some at work from home stuff. As usual Austin was a champ. (thanks everyone who helped me while I taught my class and helped with Troll). The autocrat did an amazing job. She is such a doll. The drive in was a little shakey but not to bad. Most of the roads were fine with a couple minor slushy spots.
Austin was a little wound up so played with him, fed him and when it was time for sleep... He had way to much around him to fall asleep sooooooo I took him into our room and layed down with him. my gods I was watching him fighting sleep and he is really starting to look like Jim.... when he was first born... all me... now... more Jim than me.

A very wonderful event. The Autocrat and her staff were amazing. I was a little busy helping in the kitchen (where much mayhem was caused by [info]beckishadow, [info]violet_amy, [info]merricke, [info]joef_john), and a couple others. I however was on my most best behavior and did not cause any trouble.) but what I saw of the event... I liked. I got to hang out with a good crowd of people at court. Our household was asked to present our kindgom gifts in court (we had purchased a coronet) so that it could immediately be given to a well deserving woman. Congrats [info]binsteaj

After court we went off to eat some food and then I was home for some sleep.

I did get to meet a couple people who I had talked to but never been introduced to. Sp? Ishvan? Pleasure meeting him. Baron Oto sp? Allie's hubby and Simone. New girl in shire.

Update time:

Oh LJ is so hard to update these days: *sigh*

Austin is still a dream. Sleeps quite well. Eating solids like a pro and learning to master the sippy cup. He babbles and has been sitting up. He scoots a little but backwards instead of forwards. I’m hoping to get more pictures within the month at JC Penny’s.

Ok Garb workshops are happening. Love the Viking one last weekend. Dame Margarete was such a good teacher. Next one is March 4th and Elizabeth of Rivenstar is going to teach Houpplande. (let me know if you want to come over)
I’ve got ones for a Gothic Fitted, Something Italian from Master Rashid and Mistress Bricia is going to do Tunics and such.

I’m actually starting to sew again. I’m in the middle of another Italian. Hopefully it will be done by this weekend but with my schedule you never know.

My event for later in the year is coming along. Got a nice group to help me with it.

And… I’m Pre Reg’d for Pennsic. *woooohooooo*
» Ma Ma
quick post.... right after everyone left from the party.. my son... my wonderful beautiful son.... SAID....MA MA (Twice!!!)

(yes I know he does not know what he is saying or who mama is but he still clearly said mama... and I have a witness)
» small update
Austin is a dream. He is such a good boy. I love that he is such a happy child. I just wish I had more time with him. My evenings are so rushed before he goes to bed. He is eating more lately. Maybe a growth spurt? He goes back on Wednesday to check his ears. I swear he smells like antibotics. Is that normal when they are on them?

Going to the dance event this weekend. That is going to be fun. Almost everyone in the household is going. *bounce*

And on Sunday... The household party. I love when we do this. Its so full of fun, friends and food.

and of course!!!!

a great big thank you to [info]dame_margarete for helping me fit a new top for my italian last night!!! You rock.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Tuesday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole [info]hersir's purse (30 points). In May I donated bone marrow to [info]suba_al_hadid in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In August I gave [info]elzregina a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Last Friday [info]wildfox and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points). In September I pulled over and changed [info]gullinbursti's flat tire (15 points).

Overall, I've been nice (406 points). For Christmas I deserve a Wii!

Sincerely,
sansobel
